My paintings are influenced by Western culture, but they are not simply about cowboys. I use Western imagery to explore Black presence, individuality and self-expression, expanding who we imagine when we think of the Western figure.

Fashion, posture and styling communicate confidence and identity, while vibrant colours give each figure a sense of power, dignity and ease.

Green connects me to my Nigerian heritage and symbolises growth, renewal and tranquillity. Blue, my favourite colour, acts as an emotional and visual anchor.
